The Shire of Eastwatch presents Afternoon of Fun V
Happy All Hallows Eve! Come and join the fun! We are planning a GREAT SCA Event. Come and help us celebrate All Hallows Eve!!! Site opens at 3:00 pm Friday for campers. Site is discreetly wet, all containers must be removed from site. A new Wolf Longbow and Custom Arrows will be raffled off at AoF.
Dressing the part! All SCA events require an attempt at pre-1600's european (or cultures that had contact with Europe at that time) costume, but don't panic if you haven't anything appropriate for you can contact our Gold Key Person Lady Cherise at s.turk@sbcglobal.net.
Special Archery Shoot
Win an Elkridge Children's 20 lb bow for your child. Parents must register to be eligible and must shoot for a child age 5 thru 12. There will be three targets chosen, 6 arrows each, best score overall wins. Shoot times to announced on that day,Activities:
- Rapier
- Equestrian
- Youth Boffer
- Heavy Combat
- Archery Themed Shoots All Day(Taunting Skulls, Flying Ghosts). The top 20 archers of the day, on the range, will be asked to enter the Forsaken Forest and shoot the Torchlight Haunted Wood Walk. A special scroll awaits the survivors upon their return.
Special Activities:
- A Hansel and Gretel type Scavenger Hunt for kids in the Forsaken Forest
- An Adult Scavenger Hunt, prize to be awarded
- Vegetable Carving Contest with a prize for best carved
- Bardic Circle will begin at dark after the Woods Walk. Bring your best scary story to share around the bon fire. There will be prizes for the best scary story and for the best non-scary performance. People can present the pieces they planned to use at the rained-out Weasels competition as well
- Join in the dancing and Drumming
- We are having a Pot Luck Feast (bring a dish to share, enough for 10, and your own beverages)
- Torch Light Haunted Woods Shoot!
Adults: $8
Non-SCA Members surcharge of $3
Children: 6-12 yrs $4
Children: 5 and under Free
Camping: $10 per tent (both nights included)
