Here are the meeting notes from October 24, 2011:

Letters of Interest are currently being accepted for the Officer positions of Exchequer and Youth Minister. Dorothea will be stepping down as Exchequer on January 31st, 2012, and would like to begin training someone in advance. The position of Youth Minister is currently vacant.

Bids are currently being accepted for the Winter Dance and Game Revel and the Spring Challenge in May.

The Shire’s preferred date for the Winter Dance and Game Revel is March 10th, so as not to conflict with 2 other events on March 17th – the mundane Holiday of St. Patrick’s Day (many may be celebrating mundanely), and The Shire of Falcon’s Quarry Championships which is already on the Kingdom Calendar. As they are only about 60 miles away from Fairport Harbor they are well within the 100 mile radius of conflicting events.

The preferred date for the Spring Challenge is currently the weekend of May 11th – 13th, mainly due to the Middle Kingdom events of Coronation on May 5th, Crown Tournament on May 26th – 27th, and the Kingdom of AEthelmearc event AEthelmearc War Practice from May 17th – 20th.

Lliam will be working on gathering information for an Eastwatch directory, so be looking for him to speak to everyone soon.

Sat Nov. 12th Vasilli will be hosing an Initial Brewing workshop on a Barrel Stout at his home. You don’t have to be 21 to learn to brew, but you will not be able to sample the fruits of your labor if you are underage. See Vasilli for further details.

Merlin is looking for feedback on what type of classes people would like to take or any they would be interested in teaching. He may be able to arrange for instructors from other groups to come in and teach a class if there would be enough interest. In the meantime, check out the Cleftlands Calendar for their upcoming classes for November: http://cleftlands.cwru.edu/calendar.asp

The charter was discussed at meeting. Look for a revised version to be posted soon. Thank you to Baron Lubeck for attending and giving his advice regarding the charter and the charter process.
