Shire of Eastwatch

The Shire of Eastwatch is a local branch of the Society for Creative Anachronism (SCA) located in Lake, Geauga and Ashtabula counties in northeast Ohio. We are affiliated with the Barony of the Cleftlands and are regionally located in the Middle Kingdom. This group is a reformation of a group that existed earlier in the same area with the same name.

The SCA is a non-profit educational organization dedicated to the study and re-creation of the culture of the Middle Ages. Our meetings open to the public. To learn more about Eastwatch and the SCA, visit one of our meetings or contact any of our officers. We hope you'll come and join us in creating the Current Middle Ages!

From September through April we will be meeting at the VFW on the second and fourth Mondays at 6:30-9:30pm. On the second Monday of every month we have an Eat, Drink and be Merry. On this day we try to hold a class, refreshements are brought by members and we concentrate on socializing and Arts and Sciences more than combat arts. The other meetings in the month we usually have heavy combat (armored) and fencing (rapier). From May till September, we meet weekly on Monday evenings, 6:30-9:30pm at the VFW park in Fairport Harbor.
